New Year - Hitting the ground running!

Firstly, a belated happy new year to you all. In doesn't seem two minutes ago that we were planning for Christmas parties & New Year's Eve and before you know it, we are now planning the weddings and parties that will be taking place in 2012.

The Garden Room has gone down a storm, with 28 weddings already booked for 2012. We are just confirming the last few Live Bands to entertain you from February right through until November on Friday nights and the Hog Roasters and BBQ are being prepared for the summer outdoor parties that have been booked.

We are delighted to say that 2011 saw our Hotel have it's busiest year since we took over Tricky's all those years ago and with the Garden Room now up and running we also held more Conferences and Meetings than ever before.

In terms of the Restaurant, we are constantly listening to our customers and introducing different dishes whilst ensuring that we continue to offer great value. We are currently promoting some fantastic lunchtime and evening offers so why not take a look at our menus, which you can download from our website.

Serenity Hair & Beauty Salon continues a pace, with many new customers now taking advantage of the talents of the team that offer exceptional value. From day one, Serenity has offered a great service at a truely affordable price and we believe it continues to do so.

Each Lunchtime, from January 2nd, we will be serving homemade, one pot dishes that are perfect if you want a tasty, wholesome meal at Lunchtime.

These traditional heart warming recipes will be just £5.95 and will be served with minimal waiting - perfect for your lunch hour! Of course, our full Lunchtime menu will also be available so there will be plenty to choose from.

Auction raises over £3,000 for Cancer Charities

Breast Cancer Awareness month was the backdrop to a Cancer Charities fund raising evening at Tricky's Bar & Restaurant, Redruth. This year's event focused on raising money for Breast Cancer Care and LARF Cornwall. Over £3,000 was raised during the evening which included a Hog Roast, Bush Tucker Trial and Auction which saw some healthy bidding for dozens of prizes donated from local businesses.

Commenting on the evening success, Tracy Michell, Director of Tricky's said "I am delighted that we have once again been able to raise money for such worthwhile organisations. The support and donations from so many local businesses has been amazing and we would not have been able to do all this if it wasn't for them". Tricky's next fund raising event is their annual Fireworks Display on Saturday 5th November with proceeds going to Cancer Research and LARF Cornwall.

Press Release: Local Businesses Make Special Day for Bride & Groom

Last November Tricky's Hotel in Redruth opened the doors to it's new function suite, The Garden Room. To celebrate the opening, a 'win a wedding' competition was held with local businesses supporting the event by contributing towards the overall prize package. This weekend, nearly a year on, prize winners, Jenna Hawkey and Andy Ferris celebrated their marriage at Tricky's.

After getting married at Crantock Church, the Garden Room was the setting for 114 guests during the day and 200 in the evening to enjoy a coastal themed reception with flower displays by Camborne Florists, G.R. & S.D Mills and a beautiful hand crafted wedding cake designed by the Candy House, Penryn. The toasting champagne and table wine was kindly supplied by Molson Coors.

Celebrations carried on into the evening with Jenna wearing a dress supplied by County Cream Bridal House, Truro and entertainment supplied by local DJ Mark Stephens.

A Choice Of Venues At Tricky's This Christmas

It's only June! I hear you say, but already we are getting enquiries from quite a few forward thinking customers about Christmas. So John Crocker, our Head Chef has come up with a great festive menu and we are now taking bookings.

Although a few parties took place in the Garden Room last year, this year it is available from the outset and makes a stunning alternative Christmas Party venue to the main restaurant. As usual, Discos will be included in the price on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

John Crocker Returns to Tricky's

Yes, we are delighted to welcome back John to Tricky's as Head Chef. With Summer on it's way and a diary full of Weddings and Parties, John and his Team will be very busy.

Another successful event at Tricky's Hotel

Tricky's was delighted to host the Atlantic FM and NRS Media Impact Plus presentations last week. With their listener viewing numbers continuing to grow year on year, the popular cornish radio station joined up with NRS Media to outline the benefits of radio advertising to local businesses.

Three Rooms were used to hold the event including the Garden Room and the Conference Room.

It was a busy day with many well known faces from local businesses turning up. The event also demonstrated the flexibility of holding conferences and meetings of any size at Tricky's Hotel.
